Update on What's Been Happening

I've been so busy these past few months that I haven't had a chance to update anyone on my books.  I've been searching for someone to help me get the word out on my books, including marketing, etc., so hopefully I'll be able to find someone.

I've sent postcards to various VFW and American Legion Chapters in CT to see if I can give a presentation about my book "Write Soon Love, Fran: Letters Home from a Korean War WAC" and possibly sell a few copies.

I've also been told that my book "Ins and Outs of Europe: One Hostel at a Time" is akin to "50 Shades of Gray."  All I have to do is market it the right way and then I can continue working on its sequel.

I've been told by someone who is reading my book "Ins and Outs of Europe: One Hostel at a Time" that she can't put it down!  She doesn't normally read  books, but this one is that good.  I think that awesome!!!

New Book - "Ins and Outs of Europe: One Hostel at a Time"

The manuscript for my new Romance Novel has been accepted by my publisher!  The following is a synopsis of the book:

Lyndsay and James spend Christmas with his parents in Maine.  On their way home to Connecticut, they get in an automobile accident and James is killed.  The next year, Lyndsay and her roommate, Lisa spend Christmas in Aspen, Colorado where Lyndsay meets her future husband, George Thespian.   After dating for three months, Lyndsay and George move in together in Connecticut and they get married six months later.  However, George is killed in a construction accident six months later and after the funeral, Lyndsay finds out from his attorney that he was rich and never told anyone.

Lyndsay takes a month long wine tasting cruise in France and Italy.  She meets Enzo Puccini, who falls in love with her, but after returning to the States, she tries to call him in Italy and a woman who she thinks is his wife answers the telephone.  Immediately after this phone call, she quits her job and travels through Europe for several months.

The book chronicles her experiences in different European countries, the hostels she stays in and the different men she meets.

Review of "Write Soon. Love, Fran"

I contacted MillitaryWriters.com in May, 2011 to request that they review my book "Write Soon. Love, Fran" and once I received a physical copy of the book, I sent it to them on June 27, 2011.  The reviewer read the book and sent me a glowing review by email this morning, July 12, 2011!  The review will be posted on their website in about a month, but it can be read on my website at http://books-by-l-e-starks.yolasite.com/
